I have a walker!

Last night, Sebastian took his first steps. Granted, they were small steps but he did them all on his own! He looked proud of himself, like he had really accomplished something. It was so cute. Chris was extremely excited to witness this event. He's been working quite a bit lately with both of his jobs and was hoping that he would get to see him take his first steps, and he did! Of course, go figure when I try to show his Mimi this morning, he wasn't in the mood to do any walking.

Recently, Sebastian has learned how to wave. It's really funny because he hasn't learned when to use it yet. He likes to wave bye bye when he's eating or maybe when I'm rocking him to sleep. It's so funny because it's out of place. I can't believe how quickly he's growing up! He's imitating so many sounds and actions right now, it's kind of scary! It goes to show that you definitely can't give him bad things to imitate, as he is watching all the time.

I'm happy to report that Dr. McCormack said that Sebastian no longer has an ear infection. Words cannot express how relieving it was to hear that. He has had an ear infection since he started daycare, which was mid March. But don't worry, he has a new virus and it's called coksackies virus. Yes, it sounds very weird, I know. The doctor said it should only last 3-5 days, and I believe it's over now. Hopefully we can stay well for a while! It hasn't been easy having to leave work to pick him up all of the time.

Things are going to be changing drastically around the Giudice household. We are getting our house ready so that we can sell it. At this point, with Chris needing to spend time studying for the CPA, we have found that it's impossible for him to have two jobs AND study for the CPA over the next year or so. We should have our house on the market by the end of April (hopefully). It's kind of sad because our house has really come a long way since we got married. When I got there, it was such a bachelor pad and had so much work to do to it. Now, it's really a home and we take pride in all the work we've done. Chris and I know though that this will be just a small period of time in which we have to move to something smaller so that we can later move into a house that we both choose. I can't wait for that day!

I uploaded some pictures to my Mac the other day that were from an older disc. Here's some of the cute pictures that I found on the disc.

This picture was from a few months ago before our trip to Cancun.

My Mom took this picture a couple of months ago. It was pretty funny and cute.

I thought this was a funny picture. He's not one to normally stick his tongue out. Looks like my Mom captured a pretty cute moment.

Sebastian growing up

Over the past 8 1/2 months, it's been pretty amazing to see a little guy grow up so much. I remember when we were excited just to see him smile. Now, he's crawling around, laughing, trying to stand up on his own, it's so fun and scary at the same time how time has flown by. So much so that I realized tonight that I haven't been doing a great job at keeping up with his baby calendar. With much ambition, I looked back through almost a whole year's worth of photos to try to document when some of his milestones occurred. It was funny to see that I had written in his baby calendar every single day up until I went back to work. I guess that is what happens when you're a working mom. Sometimes, things that would later be treasured, are dropped by the way side for work projects, interviews, weekends spent cleaning and cooking. It's hard to balance it all but I felt tonight like it was still possible to go back and catch up, even if it means that not every single day is accounted for. Here are some of the photos I reminisced on.

I thought this was a funny picture of Chris crying along with Sebastian after his first bath in the bath tub.

My precious little sleeping baby

Our trip to Charleston, SC for Jess's wedding. It was his first time at the beach!

Right before our first trip to Huber's Farm

Sebastian and his little driver's hat.

He's grown up so much since this picture. I love how his little personality is really shining through and can't wait to see what is to come. He spends his time playing with Daddy in his room with his toys. He likes to walk with one of us to various rooms throughout the house to see what is in each room. He's such a curious little thing that always has to look around to see what is going on, even when he's eating. Now if I can just keep up with him! He's definitely growing up!

My first blog!

I'm new to blogging and am excited to start. My blog is dedicated to our beautiful family and I hope to keep this blog going for quite some time to share with others. At this time, I have an awesome husband, Chris, and my little man, Sebastian. They give me so much joy and I don't know what I would do without them! I want to post some pictures that are favorites of mine over the past year or so.

This is one of our pregnancy photos when I was around 7 months pregnant.

This is Sebastian, the sweetest little thing to enter my life.

And this is his proud Daddy

Memaw and Aunt Jordan

This is his Mimi

Spending time with Great Grandma Savage

I plan on documenting more of Sebastian's time with us over the past 8 1/2 months in the upcoming blogs. I have to say that I never thought I'd love someone like I love this little guy. He's the light in my life!
